Former dormitory buildings were transformed into Hinoki Village, which features unique stores and exhibition spaces divided into thematic categories such as Cultural and Creative Bazaar, Local Souvenir Gifts, Creative Arts for Living, Time Zone, Good Food and Drink, and Art and Culture Exhibition, among which only Time Zone and the Chiayi Storytelling Museum require an admission fee. The Village also provides guided tours and handicraft DIY classes, offering visitors a deeper exploration into the past and present of Hinoki Village. With the faint scent of cypress in the air, both young and old alike can enjoy strolling through the different Japanese cypress buildings, visiting different stores and themed exhibitions, with each finding their own pleasures.
